About CLT 3D Printing

Charlotte's trusted partner for professional 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and small-batch manufacturing.

Our Story

A Family, a 3D Printer, and a Dream

CLT 3D Printing started the way a lot of good things do: with a family having fun. The Dennstedts picked up a 3D printer and quickly fell in love with the technology, printing everything from toys and household fixes to creative projects with their three daughters.

Then a friend asked if we could help with some printing for their business. We said sure, threw up a simple website, and something unexpected happened. More business kept rolling in, month after month. What started as a favor turned into real demand from Charlotte-area companies who needed a local, reliable 3D printing partner.

Over the past two years, we've grown organically into a blossoming Charlotte business, serving everyone from marketing agencies needing custom awards to drone companies needing precision parts. We've never taken outside funding or chased growth for growth's sake. Every step forward has come from doing good work for good people and letting the results speak for themselves.

At its heart, CLT 3D Printing is about family. Our goal is to build this business into something that helps put our three beautiful daughters through college, and hopefully much more. Every project we take on is a step toward that dream, and we bring that personal investment to every part we print.

Our Facility

Equipment & Capabilities

FDM Printers

Professional-grade fused deposition modeling printers with large build volumes. Capable of producing parts in PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, Nylon, and TPU.

Multi-Material Capability

We stock a wide range of engineering-grade filaments and can source specialty materials for unique applications. Colors, textures, and properties to match your requirements.

Quality Control

Every part undergoes dimensional verification, visual inspection, and fit checking before delivery. We hold standard tolerances of ±0.2mm with tighter tolerances available on request.

What Drives Us

Quality First

We don't cut corners. Every part gets the same attention to detail whether it's a single prototype or a run of 500. Your reputation depends on the quality of the parts you use, and we take that seriously.

Speed That Matters

We understand that time is money. Our standard 5-7 day turnaround and 2-3 day rush options are designed to keep your projects moving. Local Charlotte pickup makes it even faster.

Honest Communication

We'll tell you if a different material, design change, or approach would give you better results, even if it means a smaller order. We're in this for long-term relationships, not one-time transactions.

Sustainability

3D printing is inherently more sustainable than traditional manufacturing: less material waste, no tooling, and on-demand production. We prioritize eco-friendly materials like PLA and recycle print waste whenever possible.
